What are the differences between Botox and Laser Rejuvenation?

Creams and serums over the counter aren't fighting the wrinkles the way they used to anymore, and you are definitely not wanting to go under the knife to rectify your problems. We get it. You want to look the way you did 5 or 10 years ago and you want to find the best methods to do so, and that is why we are here to educate you on a few of the treatments that will give you the greatest results.

Botox, Dermal Fillers, Micro-Needling, Laser Wrinkle Correction, and Photo-Facials are treatments that we highly recommend to anyone who is interested in effective ways to remove their most noticeable signs of aging.

The most well known treatment would be Botox for its instant gratification and almost painless procedure.

But, what does it do and where can it be used?

Botox can be used in the glabella (which is the area between the eyes), the forehead, and the crows feet area. What it is is a series of injections that are directly targeted in the muscles of the area that you choose to rejuvenate and are paralyzed causing the skin to relax and achieve a smoother appearance. Your results can be seen in 3-7 days and can last as long as 4 months!

Dermal Fillers are also very much known for their ability to ‘fill’ wrinkles and restore the appearance of youthful skin. We highly recommend Juvederm Ultra or Juvederm Ultra Plus because it is the first injectable gel with smooth-consistency hyaluronic acid. Juvederm treatments use innovative technology called Hylacross which provides a smooth consistency gel and optimal gel structures that hold up over time and have been proven to give longer lasting results than your traditional collagen. Results have lasted up to a year, which is great for the working woman who needs to look her best around the clock but just doesn't have the time to maintain her rejuvenated appearance every 16 weeks.

What is acupuncture and modern science combined together? Micro-Needling. No, the process does not require actual long sessions of acupuncture but it is a roller that is made up of many miniature needles that are rolled around the area that you wish to be treated.  The needles work by opening up the pores in a non harsh way that allows your skin to recover naturally, by the pores being opened the products you apply to your skin have the gateway of reaching deeper into your skin by 40 percent. Areas that can be treated are: wrinkles on the face, upper lip lines, and neck. Your results can be seen within a week and depending on the degree of improvement that is desired a series of 6-10 sessions should be done in intervals ranging from once a week to once a month.

Laser Wrinkle Correction is one of the most asked about procedures in regards to rejuvenation. It is the same thing as laser resurfacing but it requires no downtime and that is what makes it so amazing! Elos laser treatments work brilliantly by removing fine lines and encouraging new collagen in the treated areas. The Laser Wrinkle Correction and Skin Tightening Laser Treatment are both used by re-toning the skin and facial muscles, and also dramatically reducing wrinkles. Six treatments are traditionally recommended in order to receive the desired results, and we also recommend you to pair these treatments with Botox, Microdermabrasion, or micro-needling.

Last but not least is the Photo-facial. This treatment claims to be the “simple choice for clearer, younger –looking skin,” and we agree! If you are wanting to get rid of your unwanted, uneven skin tone and visible vessels, this is the treatment for you! It is an optimized light device used to deliver energy into your skin which points to the unwanted vessels and pigmented lesions. The procedure lasts around 30 minutes depending on the desired treatment area and little to no discomfort is felt throughout the process. 1 – 2 sessions is all that is usually needed to reach desirable results.

These are the treatments that we highly recommend to you because these are the ones that WE believe to be the most effective.

It isn't about which treatment is better than the other or which one will last longer, it’s about which treatment fits accordingly with your skin. Many people have the same concerns when in regards to aging, but many think that there are only treatments such as Botox that are there to help.  If you do not like needles then obviously you will be more hesitant to use Botox, Juvederm, or Micro-Needling but treatments such as Laser Wrinkle Correction and Photo-facials have been proven to be just as effective.
